SHORT BIO

 

Born in Manado, Indonesia. Marcelia is an international recording and performing artist with numerious recognitions through her collaboration with international artists. Introduced to Blues & Soul at the age of 9, Marcelia then found great musical influence in the great Sarah Vaughan, Donny Hathaway, and Anita Baker. Wrote her own first single called :"It Won't Undo You And I" produced by american artist and producer Keith Martin in 2011. Featured with Ray Harris & Fusion Project from Scotland during Jazz Goes to Campus 2014, and elected as one of the judges for Ratu International Music Festival, Cameroon-Africa in 2015.

Music industry joins forces with UNICEF for children in Indonesia

Artists and public figures in Indonesia have joined forces with UNICEF today to motivate people to ‘Give Back’ to Indonesia’s children. The ‘Give Back Indonesia’ video recording features leading artists and public figures who, through this song, aim to motivate viewers to give back and contribute in various ways to help improve the lives of children in Indonesia.

For this time Ray Harris collaborated with an Indonesian singer named Marcelia Lesar as vocalist in three beautiful songs. Another collaboration also happened between Ray and Hannabiel, an American percussion player and saxophonist, who recently resides in England. Tonight she played percussion along with the band.
